Our client:

The Lines Company Ltd (TLC) owns and manages the electricity distribution network throughout the King Country. TLC is part of The Lines Company Group, with subsidiaries in several different capacities of the electricity sector including electricity line renewals, metering services, electrical contracting services, and environmentally friendly electricity generation including several hydro schemes.

The role:

Our Contracting team is currently seeking a hands-on Fault Person/Electrician to service the Mangakino and Whakamaru regions. Key responsibilities in include the location, isolation and repair of faults for both overhead and underground networks and completing network inspection and maintenance activities. Additionally, you will analyse and provide advice to TLC customers regarding extensions and upgrades of electrical networks. This is a key role that offers breadth and variety and will allow the successful candidate to take ownership of their work and see issues through to completion.

You are:

A New Zealand registered electrician who is motivated, able to self-manage and work independently. You have:

  • A current electrical Practicing Licence.
  • An unwavering commitment to Health and Safety.
  • The ability to multi-task and meet KPI’s/deadlines.
  • Distribution Lines Network knowledge as you will primarily be working independently.
  • Fault finding, repairs and maintenance experience of overhead and underground networks.
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills.
